As seasons go, autumn is a pretty awesome one! October is one of our favourite months here at Gator HQ. The weather is good, the scenery is stunning, and there is so much to do with the kids! With half-term just a few weeks away you may be asking yourself what’s on and where? As always we’re on it and ready to share our favourite spooktacular events with you all. Here we go!

 WIGLETS GREAT SPOOKEREE – GODSTONE FARM – SURREY

With Halloween themed activities all week long, it’s going to be a Spooktacular half term at Godstone Farm. Enjoy Pumpkin Carving, Trick or Treat games and their brand-new “Light Illusion Tunnel” with 3D glasses!

HALLOWEEN HOCUS POCUS – MILKY WAY ADVENTURE PARK – DEVON

Enjoy spell writing, wand making, broomstick riding and potion making and Milky Way Adventure parks school for witches and wizards this half term! Fun for the little kids (and the big ones of the family)

 PUMPKIN PICKING AT TULLEYS FARM – WEST SUSSEX

Lace-up your boots, slip on your gloves and head out armed with your trusty secateurs into the fields of rambling vines to pick the perfect pumpkin. Knobbly ones, wrinkly ones, different shapes and sizes, there is a bountiful supply of shiny pumpkins, quirky gourds and lumpy squashes. Whether you want to carve a ghoulish face, make a delicious pie or decorate your house with unusual gourds. There is an ideal pumpkin for everyone.

SPOOKY EVENTS – NATIONAL TRUST – ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Spooky season has arrived, and winter is on its way, so why not embrace the chill and have a go at some fun Halloween activities at National Trust properties across the country. From classic pumpkin carving and ghost stories to some more unusual activities like after-hours ghost tours, you can feel spooked in any way you please.

AWESOME AUTUMN – RHS WISLEY – SURREY

Make your way to RHS Garden Wisley and celebrate ‘Awesome Autumn’ during October half-term 

Enjoy fun activities throughout the week, including a family garden trail, drop-in craft and sow-and-grow workshops, pumpkin carving and guided walks for families with the Education team.

HALLOWEEN FUN AT HEVER CASTLE – KENT

Prepare to be spooked this Halloween at Haunted Hever. They have a vast array of spooktacular events on at the Castle for you and your little ones.

Join the spooky storytelling, take part in the Halloween craft activity, follow the scarecrow scavenger hunt around the grounds and sink your teeth into a sweet treat at the deadly delicious biscuit decorating workshop.

AUTUMN HALF TERM FUN AT CHATSWORTH HOUSE – DERBYSHIRE

Experience fiendish fun finding hidden pumpkins, dare to enter the abandoned tunnel and listen to spine-tingling storytelling in the garden.

Bring your little monsters to the farmyard to meet the animals and join in with creepy crafts. If you’re feeling brave, dare to ride the Fright flight into Warlock Wood, where we need your help taking care of a dastardly array of characters.

LANTERN PARADE – BEWILDERWOOD – NORFOLK

BeWILDerwood will glow in a magical light extravaganza this October. See the woods in a whole new light, and as all the inhabitants come out to celebrate their Glorious Glowing lantern parade!

Get creative in their Big Hat and craft a beautiful lantern for a Slitherigrub to live in, which will guide your way through the dusty gloam. Wear your best spooky costumes and visit our Face Painting Pavilion (all inclooosive of course!) to make sure you look truly spooktacular!
