Today we’d like to introduce our latest Gator Kid, Jenson Heward-Mills. Jenson is a budding young footballer who at just eight years old is showing a huge amount of talent for his career ahead.

Jenson started playing football at just three years old and now plays for the Fulham Academy Football Club. It’s a pretty gruelling process to be selected to be part of this team which reflects both his talent and determination.

Jenson found out about the Gator watch through his sister Maia (who’s another amazingly talented Gator Kid) and wouldn’t wait until he was old enough to join the tribe. One of the things that Jenson loves the most about his watch is his ability to keep in touch with Mum (such a sweet boy!). Due to his training schedule, he has more independence than some eight-year-olds might have and the whole family find it easier now that he can make a quick call to say he’s ready to be collected after a match or training session.

Jenson’s most memorable moment to date was being invited to Soccer AM’s Christmas special after he was spotted on Instagram scoring a top goal! Also cruising with his family around Europe on the biggest ship in the world, while filming for a worldwide campaign for Royal Caribbean Cruise was a particular highlight.
Jenson’s passion for football means he has little time for screens during the week. If he does go online, it tends to be at the weekend when he’ll go onto YouTube to check out football tricks and skills. This is one of the reasons the Gator watch is the perfect solution for a child like Jenson; the ability to keep in contact is desirable for everyone, and he just doesn’t need the access to the wider internet and the stresses of social media and gaming that is often part and parcel of this next step.

As you’d imagine Jenson would LOVE to be a professional footballer when he grows up and has his heart set on forging a career like Christiano Ronaldo because “he’s the best footballer in the world!”. Hats off to you Jenson – we admire both your talent and determination and will be watching your career with great interest.
